What you can buy from us.

Content leads here. Everything commercial sits underneath it as proof. Three ways in, each one upgrading into the next — and the retainer reduces the rate on other services. Two more services sit outside the ladder: audience and user-generated campaigns, and sponsorship brokerage.

Before you read the prices

Every figure here is a starting price, excluding VAT. Scope, travel, talent fees, media spend and third-party licences are quoted separately and itemised.

Rung 02 can be bought in two parts. The R20,000 audit stands alone. The R45,000 strategy is built off an audit — ours or one you already have, if it holds up.

We’re not typically a media agency, an agency of record or a lead agency. We work directly with brands and alongside the agencies already on the brief. Most often both. We also have experience in strategy and execution across the agency services landscape.

The percentages in rung 03 are calculated on the value of the partnership or the managed event budget, agreed in writing before any approach is made.

Content, Capture & Campaigns

The shoot, the live one, and the build.

from R35,000premium content job from R45,000brand web campaign from R75,000live content

When to use it

You have a launch, an activation, a sponsorship or an event and you need the content that comes out of it to actually work in the feed — not just exist in a folder.

Also the right rung if an agency is already on the brief and the content is the gap.

What is delivered

  • Premium content job — shot, graded and delivered in every format, with a picker your team chooses from.
  • Live content — the same work at event speed. Shot, cut and posted while the thing is still happening.
  • Brand web campaign — a campaign site built, tracked and reported on. The Sound Tour shape.

Commercial terms

Quoted per job against a standing rate card, with the discount shown as a discount so a fast deal never becomes the perceived rate.

One revert round included. Further reverts are on the ladder in the quote.

Production billed at cost + 25–30%, itemised.

Evidence. Strettons, September 2026 — two days’ notice, delivered inside three working days with the revert round included. Sound Tour is the brand web campaign, built and measured.

Audit & Strategy

Cultural clarity before the brief hardens.

R20,000audit · stands alone R45,000strategy · built off an audit

When to use it

When the brief has not hardened yet, and you can still change what the brand is actually saying rather than only how it is shot.

Or when a campaign is underperforming and nobody has checked whether the brand is talking to the province it is selling in.

What is delivered

  • The audit — a read of the category and of where the brand is actually being heard, against where it is being bought.
  • The strategy — one direction. Two to three days of work, written down.

You can commission the audit on its own. Most people do, then decide.

Commercial terms

Fixed fee, both stages. No day-rate creep.

The strategy needs an audit behind it. If you already have one that holds up, we will use yours and you do not pay for ours.

If it goes on to a retainer inside 60 days, the audit fee comes off the first month.

Evidence. The Old Buck Gin audit found a brand selling in one province and talking to another. The campaign moved where it spoke.

Cultural Intelligence

Everything above, standing, at retained rates.

Retainedmonthly · 6-month minimum

When to use it

When the brand needs someone watching culture continuously rather than being briefed into it three weeks before a campaign.

The rung where being early is the product — talent calls, platform calls and partnership calls made before the category has noticed.

What is delivered

A monthly relationship. Signal tracking, culture plays, talent calls and weekly direction, plus the content, events and digital work around them — resourced as the brand needs it, and built off the audit.

Scope is agreed month one and reviewed at three.

Commercial terms

The retainer reduces the rate on other services.

  • Sponsorship brokerage drops from 15–25% ad hoc to 10%.
  • Event management is 15%.
  • Content and culture partnerships come in below rate card.

Both percentages are calculated on the agreed partnership value or managed event budget, and fixed in writing before any approach is made.

Evidence. Old Buck Gin ran the full version — it began as an audit and ended with us acting lead on the brand. Warner Music Africa runs a narrower one, scoped to the annual brunch and the content around it, and is not an example of the full retainer.

Audience & User-Generated Campaigns

Paying real people to make the content, and running the part that makes paying them safe.

On specscoped per campaign

When to use it

When the brand needs reach it cannot buy — volume of real posts from real accounts.

Also the right call when a brand wants a standing community rather than a burst: people who keep making content because there is a reason to.

What we run

  • Acquiring and qualifying the creators, and routing them in.
  • Engagement scoring — and working out what a post is actually worth.
  • Pay-per-view and view rewards, challenges, categories and bounties.
  • Tracking after the post, off-platform, so performance is measured where it happens.
  • Auditing before payment, and paying out on what is verified.
  • Community management for the brand, where the campaign is meant to stand.

Commercial terms

Quoted on spec. The shape changes with the brief — how many creators, what the reward is, how long it runs — so there is no rate card here. You get a written scope and a number before anything is committed.

Creator rewards are an itemised line, and the agency fee on running them is a mark-up on the managed spend — the same way production is billed. Both are stated in the quote before anything runs.

B Trend is the system this runs on. It is owned by Outerbounds and sold through the agency, on spec.
We have not published a case study on this yet. When one runs to a result we can stand behind, it will go on the work page like everything else.

Talk it through

Sponsorship brokerage, without a retainer

We broker sponsorship as a standalone service at 15–25% of the partnership value, set by how much of the approach, the negotiation and the delivery we carry. Event management is quoted separately.

On a cultural intelligence retainer the same work is 10%, and event management is 15%. That difference is the single clearest reason the retainer exists, so it is published.
